League Updates

Good evening Abingdon Little League friends and families. We have several updates for you.

* We will reevaluate final plans Friday after we know the direction Virginia is going, but as of now, we will resume play July 20 (when our 2-week hiatus is up) if Virginia stays in Phase 3 and no new COVID cases are reported that affects our players and families. We will update you this weekend on these plans.
* If we do return to play for two weeks, please let your coach know if you are still willing to participate.
* We are sorry to announce that our T-ball clinics have to be cancelled. We are beginning all T-ball refunds this week.
* Little League Nights have also been cancelled. However, we really want to recognize our sponsors, 2019 All-Stars, and host the Home Run Derby, all that can be done safely at an End-of-Season Bash at the fields. More details will follow but the event will be held the last day of play, Friday, July 31 @6pm.
* There has been no change in leadership of the Abingdon Little League at this time. The Board has voted to support President Shelton who has rescinded his resignation as we await clarifications on some rules.

The Board has been meeting and working diligently to allow our Little Leaguers to play safely. Thanks for your patience through this time and we hope we can see you all at the field soon!- Jonathan Shelton, President, and the Entire Abingdon Little League Board
