Abingdon Little League *VA District 1*


2021 Season Information
The Abingdon Little League is planning a 2021 Little League Season that will follow state COVID-19 guidelines. We are extremely grateful to all of our parents for being so patient during this time.

Register your Little Leaguer here on by clicking LOG IN or REGISTER in the top right hand corner of the webpage. If you cannot register online, please join us at one of our two In-Person Registrations at Webb's Pet Grooming located at 19462 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA 24210:
     - Saturday, February 13, 2021  10:00am - 12:00pm @ Webb's Pet Grooming 
     - Thursday, February 18, 2021  6:00pm - 8:00pm @ Webb's Pet Grooming 

Major/Minor BB/SB (age 5-12): $65.00 (Late fee $25.00 after Feb 21)
Junior/Senior BB/SB (age 13-16)  $30.00 (Late fee and date TBD)
Tee Ball (age 4-6): $25.00 (Late fee and date TBD)

There is a T-Mobile Little League Grant to help pay fees so all children get the chance to play.

Included in your child’s registration:
Jersey, Hat/Visor, Game Pants (NOT TeeBall or Jr/Sr), Team issued Helmets and Team issued Bats if Needed

Players will provide:
Cleats/Shoes, Glove, Protective Face Gear (if desired), Helmet (if personal is desired), Bat (if personal is desired)

Abingdon Little League may continue to require the following measures when the season starts, depending on the Virginia Requirement for Youth Sports.

  • Requesting anyone with a fever, COVID-19 symptoms, or anyone that has been exposed to COVID-19 not enter the premises
  • Conducting screening of coaches, officials, staff, and players for COVID-19 symptoms 
  • Reminding visitors and players to practice social distancing by remaining 10 feet apart (except families from the same household)
  • Requesting that Any shared items (balls & dugouts) be disinfected between each inning
  • Requiring only incidental and accidental contact at the fields; please refrain from intentional and sustained contact
  • Prohibiting shared equipment such as bats and helmets

In order to keep our players and families safe and healthy, all visitors must adhere to these park rules/guidelines:


  • If you or a family member are sick or running a fever, please stay home 
  • Only uniformed team players, umpires, and up to 4 coaches allowed on field & in dugouts
  • Players, please place bags in designated spaces in/around dugout and return there after every play
  • No huddles, handshakes or other intentional contact; at end of game, tip your hats or wave at opponents
  • No team sharing of equipment
  • No bubble gum, suckers, or sunflower seeds permitted
  • Team reps assigned by coaches will supply team with antibacterial wipes & hand sanitizer to ensure proper hand/dugout sanitation and for disinfecting balls between innings
  • Dugouts must be cleared of trash and sanitized by the teams after each practice or game 
  • Players should give teams plenty of space when exiting/entering the field between games


  • If you or a family member are sick or running a fever, please stay home
  • Please remain at least 10 ft away from your neighbor; members of the same household can sit together
  • All parents and coaches must sign a liability waiver
  • Masks are recommended by the state of Virginia and Little League International, but not required
